Crevio does two things in Discord. You can use either one, or both in the same server:
  • Chat with your AI — your team @mentions Crevio, DMs it, or types /crevio, and the AI works on the request right there in Discord.
  • Sell access to your server — customers who buy a product get added to your server with the roles you choose, and lose them when they cancel or get a refund.
Each one is connected separately, from its own place in your dashboard.

Chat with your AI in Discord

Add Crevio to your Discord server and your team can ask the AI for help without leaving Discord. Each request gets its own thread, so conversations stay tidy.

What you can do

  • @mention Crevio in any channel it can see to start a request
  • DM Crevio for a private conversation
  • Type /crevio and your request to start without a mention
  • Reply in the thread Crevio opens, and it keeps the context — no need to mention it again
  • Stop a reply by reacting with the stop sign emoji on a message in the thread
  • Approve or deny actions with the Approve and Deny buttons when the AI asks before doing something
  • Share files, images, and voice messages — the AI can read what you drop in
  • Get task results in Discord — tasks can start from Discord messages, mentions, or reactions, and post their results back to Discord

Who can talk to Crevio

Crevio only answers people it can identify as part of your business. To use it in Discord, a person needs to:
  1. Be a member of your Crevio account (see Team).
  2. Link their Discord account to Crevio, either by signing in with Discord or by connecting Discord under Settings → Connected accounts in their user settings.
Anyone else in the server can see Crevio’s replies in channels they have access to, but Crevio does not act on their messages. This is by design: everything the AI does runs with your account’s access, so it only takes requests from your team.

Connect your server to the AI

1

Open AI assistant settings

In your Crevio dashboard, go to Settings → AI assistant and click Configure next to Discord.
2

Add to a Discord server

Click Add to a Discord server. Discord opens and asks which server to add Crevio to. You need the Manage Server permission in that server.
3

Approve the permissions

Review the permissions Crevio requests and click Authorize. Discord sends you back to Crevio and the server appears in your list.
4

Link your Discord account

If you haven’t already, link your own Discord account so Crevio knows who you are. The settings page shows a reminder with a link when your account isn’t linked yet.
5

Say hi

In Discord, type @Crevio in a channel, or /crevio followed by your request. Crevio opens a thread and replies there.

Tips

  • Keep going in the thread — every reply in a thread Crevio started continues the same conversation
  • Multiple servers are supported — connect as many Discord servers as you want to the same account
  • The same AI everywhere — Crevio in Discord has the same memory and connected apps as in the web app, Slack, and email

Disconnect the AI from a server

Go to Settings → AI assistant, open Discord, find the server, and click Disconnect. Crevio leaves the server and stops answering there. Tasks set to deliver to Discord stop posting to that server. You can add it again any time. If you also sell access to the same server, disconnecting removes the bot from the server for that too.

Sell access to your server

Sell access to your Discord server as a product experience. When a customer buys a product that includes a Discord experience, Crevio adds them to your server and assigns the roles you configure. When a subscription is cancelled or an order is refunded, Crevio removes access or changes roles based on your settings. Before you begin, make sure you have:
  • A Discord server where you have Manage Server permissions
  • A Crevio product with at least one price variant

Connect your server for paid access

1

Create a Discord experience

In your dashboard, go to Products, select a product, and add or edit a price variant. Under Experiences, create a new experience and choose Discord server as the type.
2

Connect your server

Click Connect Discord server. You will be redirected to Discord’s authorization page.
3

Select your server

From the dropdown, choose the Discord server you want to connect. Review the permissions Crevio requests (manage roles, kick members, view channels, send messages, and more), then click Authorize.
4

Configure roles

Once connected, you will see your server listed. Select the assignable roles that should be given to customers when they purchase this product.
Crevio’s bot role must be positioned above any roles you want it to assign in your Discord server’s role hierarchy. If the bot role is below a target role, Discord will prevent the assignment.

Experience settings

After connecting your server, configure the experience:
  • Assignable roles — The roles to give buyers on purchase. You can select multiple roles.
  • Event log channel — Optionally select a text channel where Crevio posts access events (member added, member removed, roles changed).
  • Cancellation action — What happens when a subscription is cancelled or an order is refunded (see below).
  • Past due role — A role to assign when a subscriber’s payment is past due, giving you the option to restrict access without fully removing them.

How roles are assigned on purchase

When a customer completes a checkout that includes a Discord experience:
  1. Crevio checks if the customer has connected their Discord account.
  2. If connected, the customer is automatically added to your Discord server.
  3. All assignable roles configured on the experience are applied to the customer.
  4. An event is logged to your configured event log channel (if set).
If the customer has not connected their Discord account yet, they are prompted to do so from their experience access page. Once they connect, access is granted automatically.

Cancellation actions

You choose what Crevio does when a subscription is cancelled or an order is refunded. This is configured per Discord experience.
The Remove role option is best when you sell access to multiple tiers within the same server. It removes only the specific roles tied to the cancelled purchase without affecting access granted by other purchases.

Your customers’ Discord connection

For paid access to work, your customers need to connect their Discord account to Crevio:
  1. After purchasing a product with a Discord experience, the customer sees a prompt to Connect Discord.
  2. They authorize Crevio to identify their Discord account and add them to servers on their behalf.
  3. Once authorized, Crevio adds them to your server and assigns the configured roles.
This is a one-time connection. Once a customer has linked their Discord account, all future Discord-based purchases use the same connection automatically.

Troubleshooting

Chatting with your AI

Check that the server is listed under Settings → AI assistant → Discord. Then make sure Crevio can see and post in that channel — check the channel’s permissions in Discord.
The server was removed from your account, or was never added. An admin can add it again from Settings → AI assistant.
Your Discord account probably isn’t linked, or you aren’t a member of the Crevio account the server is connected to. Link Discord in your user settings and ask an admin to check your access under Team.

Selling access

Check your Discord server’s role hierarchy. Crevio’s bot role must be positioned above the roles you want it to assign. Go to your Discord server’s Settings > Roles and drag the bot role higher in the list.
Verify that the customer has connected their Discord account. If they have not, they will see a connection prompt on their experience page. Also ensure that the Discord experience has a connected server — check the experience settings in your dashboard.
The cancellation action only fires when Crevio processes a subscription cancellation or refund from Stripe. If you cancelled the subscription directly in Stripe’s dashboard, there may be a short delay. Check that the customer has a connected Discord account — without it, Crevio cannot identify which Discord user to act on.
Disconnect the current server from the experience settings, then click Connect Discord server again and select the new server. Existing members from the old server are not automatically removed or migrated.
Make sure the event log channel is a text channel and that the Crevio bot has permission to send messages in that channel. If the channel was deleted or the bot’s permissions were changed, update the event log channel setting in Crevio.
