With Slack connected, anyone can mention Crevio in a channel and ask how a launch went, which product is slipping, or whether a specific customer's order went through. Crevio looks it up in your store and answers in the thread, so the answer sits next to the conversation that prompted it. It goes beyond answering. In the same thread you can ask it to refund a duplicate charge, create a discount code for a partner, or draft this week's newsletter. When a step needs your approval, Approve and Deny buttons appear right there. ## Tasks that start from Slack A reaction, a new message in a certain channel, or someone joining a channel can each kick off a task. That makes small habits easy to automate: star a message to save the sender as a tagged customer, or greet every new member of your student channel with the course schedule. Scheduled tasks work too, like a Monday revenue recap posted to your team channel. ## Good to know Crevio sends scheduled results to the thread where you set the task up or to your DM. It only posts into a team channel when the task tells it to. It also isn't a replacement for Slack's own notifications or workflows. In the thread where you set the task up, or in a DM to you. If you want results in a team channel, say so in the task ("post the summary to #team") and Crevio posts it there as part of the run. ### Does Crevio read every channel in my workspace? No. Crevio only sees channels you add it to, plus its own DMs. It keeps a copy of messages in the public channels it's in so it can answer questions about them. Private channels and DMs are never added to that shared copy, and your Slack data is never used to train AI models. ### Will Crevio post in channels on its own? It posts where you ask it to and where a task you set up tells it to. Once per public channel it's in, it may also reply in a thread where someone mentioned a problem it can handle, to offer help. It doesn't act on that offer until someone says yes. ### Can Crevio get things wrong? Yes. Crevio uses AI models to write its answers, and they can be inaccurate or incomplete. Check important numbers before you rely on them, and use approvals for steps you want to OK first. ### Can a Slack message start a task on its own? Yes. New messages, mentions, reactions, and people joining a channel can all start a task. You can narrow the trigger to one channel, one person, or one emoji so it doesn't fire on everything. ### Can I approve actions from Slack instead of the Crevio app? Yes. When an action needs your OK, Crevio sends Approve and Deny buttons in Slack. The same request also appears in the Crevio app, so you can answer wherever you are. ### Does it cost extra to connect Slack? No. Connecting apps is included in every plan. The work the AI does draws from your plan's monthly credits, and you can start free without a credit card. ### Can I undo what Crevio does in Slack? You decide what Crevio may do on its own and what needs your approval, and you can change that per action at any time.
