# A GitHub teammate that edits your site and opens the pull request

Connect the repository your site lives in and describe changes the way you'd explain them to a freelancer. Crevio writes the code, commits it under its own bot name, and opens a pull request you can read before anything goes live.

## Jobs Crevio takes off your plate in GitHub

Ask the way you would ask an assistant. Crevio does the lookups, the writing, and the clicking.

1
### Change your site in plain words

You say

Add an FAQ section to the course page with the three questions people ask most.

Crevio edits the page in your repo, commits the change on a branch, and opens a pull request with a short summary of what changed.

2
### Keep prices on the site in sync with the store

You say

Make the pricing page show the current price of every course.

Crevio reads your products and prices from the store and updates the pricing page code to match, then opens a pull request.

3
### Turn customer complaints into issues

You say

Open a GitHub issue for every site bug customers mentioned in support emails this week.

Crevio reads your store inbox, groups the reports, and opens one issue per bug with the customer's description and the page it happened on.

4
### Find out why a build failed

You say

The last deploy failed. What broke?

Crevio reads the Actions run and checks, explains the error in plain language, and can push a fix to the same branch.

5
### Get a weekly view of open work

You say

What pull requests and issues are still open on the site repo?

A short list with each item's age and status, plus which ones are waiting on you.

## Runs on its own

Any job can become a task that runs on a schedule or the moment something happens.

1.

Trigger

A site deployment fails

Read the build output, open an issue describing the error, and propose a fix in a pull request.

2.

Trigger

You update a product in your store

Update that product's page in the repo and open a pull request with the new details.

3.

Schedule

Every Monday at 9:00

Send you a summary of open issues and pull requests, oldest first.

## Better together

GitHub does more when Crevio can reach your other tools too.

## What Crevio can do in GitHub

Built into Crevio. Connect your account once and everything below is available.

### Code

- Work inside the repo your site lives in
- Commit changes under the Crevio bot name
- Open pull requests

### Project

- Create and update issues
- Read GitHub Actions runs and checks
- Work with workflow files
- Create a new repository in a GitHub organization

## Why connect GitHub

If your site's code lives in GitHub, every small change used to mean waiting for a developer or learning enough to do it yourself. A new FAQ block, a price that changed, a broken link a customer spotted. None of it is hard, but all of it stalls.

With the repository connected, Crevio works in your code directly. You say what you want in plain language and it makes the edit, commits it under the Crevio bot name, and opens a pull request that explains the change. Because Crevio also knows your store, it can pull real product names, prices, and descriptions into the page instead of placeholders.

## Working with a developer

Crevio fits into a normal GitHub routine. Changes arrive as pull requests, so a developer or you can review them before anything is merged. It can open issues, read the results of your GitHub Actions runs and checks, and explain a failing build in words a non-developer can follow. If your store's deployment fails, a task can pick that up, dig into the error, and open an issue with a proposed fix.

## Limits worth knowing

GitHub events don't start Crevio tasks. A new issue or a merged pull request won't trigger anything on their own, so use a schedule or a store event instead. Crevio can only create brand-new repositories inside a GitHub organization. And it works in the repo your site lives in, not across every project on your account, so your other code stays untouched.

## Set up in three steps

1. 01
### Connect GitHub

Sign in to GitHub from Crevio. It takes a few seconds and you can disconnect any time.

2. 02
### Ask for what you need

Describe the job in plain language. Crevio works out which steps it takes and shows you what it did.

3. 03
### Let it run

Turn anything you asked for once into a task that repeats on a schedule or runs when something happens.

## Questions about GitHub and Crevio

### Who shows up as the author of the commits?

The Crevio bot. Every commit it makes is attributed to Crevio, so your history clearly shows which changes came from the agent and which came from you or a developer.

### Can a GitHub event, like a new issue, start a Crevio task?

Not today. GitHub activity doesn't trigger tasks. Use a schedule instead, or a store event such as a failed site deployment or a product update.

### Can Crevio create a new repository for me?

Only inside a GitHub organization. For a personal account, create the repository yourself and connect it to Crevio.

### Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe the change and review the pull request summary. If you work with a developer, they can review the code itself before it's merged.

### Does it cost extra to connect GitHub?

No. Connecting apps is included in every plan. The work the AI does draws from your plan's monthly credits, and you can start free without a credit card.

### Can I undo what Crevio does in GitHub?

You decide what Crevio may do on its own and what needs your approval, and you can change that per action at any time. Every step it takes is listed in the chat, so you can see exactly what happened.

### How do I disconnect GitHub?

Open Integrations in your Crevio settings and disconnect it. Crevio loses access straight away.
